 Welcome to the APA of Manatee and Sarasota Counties Homepage!
If you have never played in the APA, or maybe never even played pool, don't worry. The APA is the biggest amateur league in the country. It doesn't matter who you are or how good you are, the APA is all about fun! It's a night out with your friends, family, or co-workers, where you can meet great people, and have a great time. With the Equalizer® handicap system, anyone can play and everyone can win. So round up a team, and get ready for some fun!

| Billiard Showcase

We'll be having a Billiard Showcase this Thursday, September 2nd, from 8-10pm at Northbridge Tavern, 2119 Siesta Drive in Sarasota.
Basically, we'll have all of our retail available in one place for all of you to look at and try out. We will also have our catalogs available for you to go through if you are looking for something specific.

| 2010 NTC's

It's ON!
We will be keeping you updated on how our teams are doing in the NTC's right here!
Well, the 8-ball team, Chalk It Up, finally got knocked out. They finished a very respectable 65th out of over 700 teams and won $1500 for their efforts. Way to go, guys, we're all really proud of you! Now you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of the week in Vegas.
Our 9-ball Scotch Doubles team, We Got This!, got knocked out, but they played a great match. We're really proud of you girls and hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Vegas.
Our 8-ball Scotch Doubles team, "And Take Names", has finally been knocked out. They played great though, with the last match coming down hill-hill and the 8-ball rattled in the pocket. Overall, they finished 65th of 257 teams. Great job Steve and Nina!
Looks like our 9-ball team is out. Hope you all had a great time! Enjoy the rest of your stay in Vegas.

| New Divisions

We are starting a couple of new Divisions!
8-Ball Scotch Doubles and 9-Ball Scotch Doubles. 8-Ball Scotch Doubles will be held in Venice on Mondays and will begin August 30th. Teams will consist of two players with a total handicap of 12. If you are interested in signing up for this new Division, please contact the League Office at (941) 209-9104.
We are also looking to start a 9-Ball Scotch Doubles Division in Bradenton on Thursdays. If you would be interested in playing in this Division, please contact the League Office. We will schedule it to begin when we have enough participants.
Keep an eye out in your packet for more details on these two new Divisions.

| Lake Osprey Billiards

ATTENTION: Players waiting for Lake Osprey Billiards
We are postponing the start of the new Tuesday 8-ball division until further notice.
Unfortunately, governmental red tape and other issues are delaying the opening of the new pool hall.
Instead of keeping you all on the wire constantly, we will simply wait until Lake Osprey Billiards opens, and then we will start. It may mean not beginning until fall, but all of these circumstances are out of our control.
Until then, we will post updates when we get them both here and on Facebook.
We do apologize for all of this, but there's nothing we can do about it.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the League Office at (941) 209-9104 and we will answer them to the best of our ability.
